Big news from Jungut Batu: Nisi is back. On Friday 10 July, our much-loved Greek taverna reopens its doors as Nisi – House of Mediterranean, completely rebuilt, reimagined and ready for the season. Same soul, same warm welcome — and a whole lot that's new.
What's New at Nisi
The biggest change you'll feel the moment you walk in: full air conditioning. Long, lingering Mediterranean lunches are now blissfully cool even at the height of the island afternoon.
The next thing you'll notice is the menu — it's all new, from the first coffee of the morning to the last cocktail of the night. And that's the other big change: Nisi now opens for breakfast at 7am and runs right through until late evening, so it's no longer just a dinner destination.
Breakfast: Build Your Own Bowl
Mornings start at the fresh display, where you build your own breakfast bowl exactly the way you like it — pick your base, three fruits and two crunch toppings, and the team assembles it in front of you. Prefer something from the pan? The à la carte breakfast runs from Turkish eggs and shakshuka to smashed avo on sourdough and a proper eggs Benedict.
Lunch & Dinner: The Mediterranean, Your Way
From 11am the kitchen shifts into full Mediterranean mode. Start with prawn gambas sizzling in garlic and chilli, seared baby octopus, or a trio of house-made dips with warm pita. The build-your-own concept carries through to lunch and dinner too — compose your perfect salad bowl from the fresh display with a base, four selections and a dressing of your choice.
Mains travel the whole Mediterranean: traditional moussaka, chicken souvlaki and beef kefta from Greece, paella from Valencia, and a full pasta and pizza list from Italy — plus a dedicated children's menu, so families are as welcome as ever. Save room for the Nutella calzone.
On the drinks side there are spritzes done properly (Aperol and Limoncello both make the list), classic cocktails, an international wine list from Indonesia to Provence, and for daylight hours, fresh-pressed juices, super smoothies and specialty coffee and matcha.
The Details
Nisi – House of Mediterranean reopens Friday 10 July in the heart of Jungut Batu village, open daily from 7am until late. The full menu is on the website at www.nisilembongan.co, where you can also reserve a table — recommended in peak season, especially for dinner. One practical note: Nisi is cashless, so bring a card.
We can't wait to welcome you back. See you at the House of Mediterranean.
